    New Synapse in Conifer

There's no way I would have taken a vacation to Seattle and not visited Tom Bihn's showroom. Thus, I have returned to my home in San Diego with a fantastic new addition to my bag collection.

My wife was making fun of me because here we are -- taking this amazing trip to Seattle and Vancouver...and the highlight of my trip is in some warehouse in the middle of...the Industrial District? Huh? Haha...good times. But she actually enjoyed checking out all the cool gear as well, and I think she has a better understanding of why I visit the TB site and forum daily in anticipation of new product announcements.

In other news, I had been eyeing Conifer and Cardinal ever since the TB Newsletter announced these new colors earlier this year...and after seeing both in person I get the feeling I'm going to eventually be sporting Christmas colors every time I travel now.

So more about Conifer...I feel this is the color in the TB line-up that best represents this company (and me in some ways). It's Seattle. It's Pacific Northwest. It's the forest. It's the trees. It's the mountains. It's subtle and understated. It doesn't try to be something it's not. It's utilitarian yet refined. It's dependable and reliable. It's the hiker and adventurer in me. It's flat out awesome is what it is!

My only delimma now is a Cardinal Tri-Star, or a matching Forest Tri-Star? Right about now my Steel Aeronaut is feeling a little left out...

A big shout-out to Brian who gracefully opened the TB shop doors for me last Thursday. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Here are a few images of the Synapse and me cruising the ferry from Downtown Seattle to Bremerton:

Conifer (Cordura) is such a lovely green. So when you were at the factory, it blended so well with Forest (Ballistic on the Tri Star) that they seemed to be the same color?
Darcy, could we see the greens side by side?
I really, really like TB Bags!

Dorayme- thank you so much for pointing out that the green colored Tri-Star is "Forest"...I had automatically assumed that green color was Conifer as well...

So, I actually didn't have a chance to see the Forest Ballistic Nylon -- I only gazed upon the Cardinal and Navy. But in looking at the photos the greens sure do look very close.

I too would like to see a side-by-side comparison of Forest and Conifer.

    Awesome photos!

    I vote Cardinal for the Tri-Star :).

I hope you enjoyed your trip to Seattle!
