Burnt Orange Is the New Black

So says Chester Cheetah/ TB box art! Note Chester is sporting a Burnt Orange S25. I'm super friendly with my UPS driver and he shook his head (in a good way) when he gave me my package. Darcy, please thank whoever drew this for me!

Being an orange-freak, I knew Id love burnt orange cordura the second Darcy unveiled it. Plus, orange and gray is my favorite orange color combo.
Heres a picture of the S25 with other orange things I had in my room. The only colors I would consider burnt orange are the S25, my Lipualt roller, and my reusable shopping bag that is in front of the roller on the left.

S25 and my mini TB haul I got last week: a black/steel SE and black travel tray. Im not too enamored by the travel tray. Its a lot larger than what I need and I dont really like the feel of 400d dyneema.

    Some thoughts on the S25:
    - I do not have a problem with the straps being too widely set apart. Im very narrow in the shoulders about 14.5- 15 inches so this was a slight concern when I purchased it. The pack doesnt move off my shoulders at all; in fact, Im going to remove the chest strap because I find it unnecessary and needlessly in my way.

    - I got the S25 primarily as a travel bag. I was waiting on the debut of the A30 to decide between the two, but Burnt Orange won me over. I practiced packed the S25 for a 3 day trip Im taking next month. Although I knew everything would fit, I didnt know how bulky the S25 would be because Im not a lightweight packer by any means. It looks a lot less bulky than my old Brain Bag sized LL Bean backpack I just gave away. If Im more judicious with what I pack, I could easily pack the S25 for 7+ days.
    A shameless orange-lover.

Long live Burnt Orange! Zest! 152!

I see you made it through the orange waiting agony. And your S25 is just in time for season 2.

I'm not a fan of orange myself, but yay for getting the colour you love - and box art too!

Also I'm sure someone will take the travel tray off your hands - some of those black dyneema items were strictly limited edition (I'm glad I snagged me a PCSB whilst they were still offered).

    Collections:
    Work EDC: SE + S19 + DLBC
Leisure: SCBs, MCBs, FJN, Swift, lots of YSSs
Travel: WF + Pilot or SA, both with SE/SCB
General organisation: More pouches, stuff sacks and cubes than you can shake a keystrap at!
Favourite TB colours: aubergine, forest (sniff!), linen, wasabi, UV
Hoping for: A new dyneema colour for YSSs; a Linen Side Effect; the return of Portable Culture!

    Best box art ever!
    That's hilarious.
Still not an 'orange' person -- I prefer the blues and purples -- but I do like that series.

Please bring back the Portable Culture patch!

If you don't want the TT, I can trade you a Wasabi TT, or buy it from you! :)

I love the box art!! The S25 is even a different color than Chester!!

ETA: And the Burnt Orange is just fab! I am severely tempted, even though my wardrobe tends to the blue/purple side of things. :) *sits on hands*

Could we please get a picture of the highly talented box art artist Darcy? I have one here of an Angora rabbit which is framed on the wall. :-)
I would love to see this person and bow my head to his talent. :-)

If you have ever been in Texas, you'd know this color as 'Longhorn orange.'

Yes, but now I realize I need more TB Burnt Orange in my life. I finally "get" why Nordic lovers are so sad ...

This x 1000. I want a Burnt Orange S19, A30, Side Effect, OPs, and key straps.

Definitely Longhorn orange. I'm from Tennessee and Burnt Orange is a far, far cry from Volunteer orange. (Of course I love it nonetheless!)

I was in Phoenix in 1999 when Tennessee was in the Fiesta Bowl - got quite acquainted with that particular shade of orange...

    "Best box art ever!"

I respectfully disagree. See http://www.tombihn.com/forums/photos...x-art.htmltwo astronauts on the moon with a Cafe Bag and a Side Effectby Trevor and Beau.
