    Lead's Pocket Comparison Photos

    Note to fellow forum members,
I'll be posting comparison photos of the Lead Pocket's and some other Tom Bihn designs without comment at the moment and later on in another thread I'll be posting photos with the Guide's Pack and adding some thoughts as well as answering questions posted in other threads. I've taken the Guide's Pack on a couple of short hikes (almost fully loaded) and have been working myself through the pack each time. I'll be taking another hike shortly this morning and (hopefully) later this evening I'll be posting those thoughts as well as more photos.

    Cheers, Trailhiker

I've been thinking about adding the Lead's pocket to my collection. Your photos are quite helpful, particularly since I already own a Side Effect and a Copilot. Thank you for posting the photos.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Lead's Pocket?

I had the same question in my mind earlier.
From what I read of the description, it is a special version of the side pockets for the Founder backpack. It has more mesh dividers, interior pocket that a "leader" would need - e.g. Scout leader.
I am impressed that these pockets can do double duty in other TB bags.

    Cheers

Waiting to buy the Lead's Pocket till I see the Pilot, and then possibly get it as a possible piggy-back on bad days.

How does the Lead's Pocket fare as a waist bag. Any shots in that configuration?

Thank you for the photos. They helped me figure out which pockets to order along with my spouse's Xmas present.
