Going to Newport Beach!

Hi Everyone -

I'm going to Newport Beach for a week, leaving 12/9 and returning 12/15. Any suggestions as to what my husband and I should do while we're there?

I also thought we'd spend a day in San Diego area, and possibly a day at Disneyland. Good ideas or no?

Balboa Island is nice to walk around...I spent my summers there as a kid.

Was there about 3 years ago. We stayed in Carlsbad (just outside San Diego.... oh, and Legoland!) for a week and Newport Coast for another week. While in Newport we did 2 days in Disneyland, 1 day riding rental bikes along the beach path at Newport Beach and exploring Balboa Island, another day at Crystal Cove beach and hiking the trails around there, an afternoon shopping at Fashion Island, and a short day at Laguna Beach (very nice, recommend). It was lovely, had a great time!
