Has anyone ever heard of the Los Angeles-based American Apparel? If so, what were your experiences with this outfit?
I bought a lot of tops from them at one of their flagship boutique in the west coast.
I was very happy to find U.S made clothing.
The pieces I bought were expensive but everything is made of very soft cotton.
I would suggest washing the garment using the delicate setting and inside a zippered pillow case, (water comes in but no risk of snagging the garment).
Most important of all, size up, their sizing is not within standard at all.
It is also impossible to gauge as their models are all very young and skinny.
It's one of the ICE's favorite hang outs for raids... of illegal immigrant labor. They are always stirring the pot. Locally, they are a bit of a nuisance as a neighbor.

cotton does not wick moisture very well. you stay cold and sweaty for a longer time compared to synthetics or wool layers.
A company well known for hiring illegals.
What a bummer.
Is there another USA firm that makes clothes from better fabrics, without the "papers please" stigma?
