USB Thumb Drives
Some time back, a remembered seeing a friend use a special kind of USB thumb drive. This thumb drive did not have a removable cap on the connecting end, nor did the USB connector retract into the body of the thumb drive. Instead, it pivoted around inside the body of the thumb drive. I believe the drive was made by Memorex, if memory serves. (Pun intended)
Does anyone know if these types of thumb drives are still on the market? Where is it easy to find them? Everywhere I look, they are either cap-based or retractable.
This? If so, that is the Memorex TravelDrive (Not sure if they still make them if they only go up to 8GB).
I like the Imation Nano. In Australia they come in red with a black bit that swivels over.
I wonder what's going to happen when USB 3.0 makes its mass market debut... Will it mean faster thumb drives, or will they all be the same?
