curious what all of you like to put in your bag to munch on in-flight.
i have taken trail mix (raisins, cranberries, cashews, almonds, pecans, and walnuts are a favorite mix), fruit (apples, bananas, and clementines), a variety of bars (the infamous lara bars, odwalla bars, to name a few), and parathas (indian flatbread - i like mine stuffed with potatoes :-).
i was thinking about also making sandwiches (bread, hummus, baby spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, tofu). i think this will carry okay packed in aluminum foil or ziplock bags. does anyone see any concerns taking this through security?
we've requested vegan meals, but i like to pack something in case the airline messes up. it's no fun not having good food to eat when you get onto a 14 hour flight - specially with children.
what do you like to pack when you fly?
I think prepackaged items with labels can be easiest if "security" bothers you. I like to have a Clif bar in my luggage since it is filling and small. In addition local good quality chocolate is never a bad thing, with dark chocolate less prone to melting.
granola bars and little debbie snacks ;p
Clif Bars are always in my purse....Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookie
