    Now that you mention wide backs... I have a very wide back and squared shoulders. I am built like a tank. Maybe that's why the straps are so comfortable for me. :p

    I do find that when I shorten the straps, the fit is much better, as the bag sits closer to my back. The only things I removed from the bag today were my touque and my glasses from the bottom front...
