I live a little South of Edinburgh in Scotland's border hills

Collecting bags, records and cd's and listen to them on Linn HiFi including a classic LP12 turntable. I also still fly fish, and I keep up with my biker mates through ukbeg.com and since summer '11 I've been going on ride outs on my quad bike!
Occupation:
I'm the principal of my own Wealth Management Company
Your Bag:
Cocoa/Cayenne Ristretto for MacBook, an iPad Ristretto in Steel/Wasabi, a Steel/Steel aeronaut

Before I bought my Aeronaut recently, I researched the four budget airlines that I fly with most often, and one more that I may use, in order to see which of the three principle Tom Bihn travel bags...

Well I took a trip down to Bristol last Wednesday and got back yesterday. Whilst at the airport, I took the opportunity to try my new Aeronaut in a few of the hand luggage testers. I got spotted, and...

Maybe my last chance to quote this, but Cardinal always reminds me of the work of Anish Kapur who often works in a similar colour of red. He said "Red makes the kind of black that blue doesn't....

For a fat cripple, I lead a pretty fulfilled life, but I would give anything to walk up those 20,000 steps and see those views! I walked up 128 steps the other day to see the view from my friends...

I'll almost pass you at the airport as I'm flying to Spain on Monday morning! If you're in town over the weekend I'll be watching for an Imago, so if a maniac on a disability scooter screeches to a...

eWalker liked post by Fat Crip On thread : Woah cool, the Guide's Pack!
Bearing in mind that I can't walk, I've absolutely no need whatsoever for a guide pack, but that doesn't stop me wanting one really, really badly! Mind you, I think that part of the appeal is that it...

eWalker liked post by Fat Crip On thread : Travel bag between Tri-Star and Aeronaut
Once upon a time I wrote a piece on here about European bag sizes, but to cut long short, the Aeronaut fits pretty much every Airline, so long as you remember their quirks. For example RyanAir only...

eWalker liked post by Fat Crip On thread : Aeronaut - but smaller....maybe??
I'd like to add my weight to this. The Aeronaut is excellent, however, for Europe it does push the boundaries a littler size, and it does rather encourage beating the 10Kg weight allowance of most...

In a word, no. Certainly not with the cubes. In the Aeronaut I use the straps to hold a couple of large organiser pockets with business papers, before putting two cubes 'loose' on top, then my...

EDC depends on your situation. For example, when I used to go mountain biking (per-crippledom), I carried a tiny kit under my saddle and a larger, but still compact, kit in my rucksack. When I'm on...

Much as my Cardinal Western Flyer is probably my favourite bag, If you are only going to only have one, I'd recommend the Tri-Star simply because you can under-pack it; but you can't add an extra...
