Adding O-rings to clothing pockets for wallet?

I wonder if anyone has experimented with sewing O-rings (or D-rings) into clothing pockets or vests to attach/tether an Organizer Wallet?

I was looking at a vest this weekend that looked like a good candidate for a D-ring sewn inside the vest by the center zipper, to attach a strap and wallet. The wallet could sit inside a pocket formed by the configuration of the inner facing/pocket lining.

Would you be able to find one that has zip pockets? You could attach a key ring to the garment zipper then clip the Key Strap to the wallet.
