Provide a water bottle attachment to your Cafe Bag

I was trying to figure out how to secure my water bottle (an REI infuser) to a LCB, when I looked at the stuff sack I have for my down booties (feet always get cold when camping). I noticed that it had a clip on the side, kinda like a TB stuff sack. I attached it to an o-ring, and whalla! A secured spot to drop in my water bottle! Does it stand perfectly straight? No. But it does keep the bottle from tipping more than 30 degrees, or from wandering from one side of the bag to the other. Plus, it provides support for when the bag is mostly empty. Granted, I'm not using a TB stuff sack, but I'm sure they would work just as well. Hope this helps someone else!

That's a neat idea! I have a water bottle that isn't spill-proof, so I bought a Platypus to go in my cafe bag. This is a great solution, though, for that perfect water bottle!

This is a great idea! Those pictures are one of the greatest depiction of the Linen color I have ever seen. I have seen it in person.

If only the inside was olive or wasabi (ohhh turquoise!), I wouldn't be able to resist the bag! But the steel is meh *sigh*

When I read that my brain went into opera singer mode like a bass or a tenor would go from a very low "steel is meh?" to a higher and much louder "steel is meh" with all the indication that the columns making up the stage decor would come down.

Steel Ballistic is gorgeous, it's a very sophisticated color.
Steel Cordura is very understated, IMHO. It's one of those blend into the background go with almost anything colors, it's a color chameleon.
Steel Dyneema has flair. It says, "look at me, I want you to think I'm conservative, but up close you can see I'm flirtatious with my white cross threads, and diagonal shimmer threads. I've got a party going on over here if you give me a second look!"

Steel dyneema is quite pretty (I was surprised with it as a pouch I ordered. The darker diagonals are striking), but as you said, Steel cordura is very understated. While I love understated, muted colors (my favorite colors are green and brown), I think it just irks me more than anything to know that at one point a linen/olive LCB existed, and I missed out *pout*. Plus, I personally find it hard to see stuff in the bag with the steel, because it blends in with everything! *giggle* Now, steel over black any day of the week! (black is soooo cliche *wink*)

My mom has a steel Aeronaut (I helped my dad pick it out for her- tee hee!) and it's a very beautiful gray. Truly, all of the TB colors are the most gorgeous incarnations of that color. It's magic.

Linen SCB with a wasabi or turquoise interior....I would definitely order! I need a bright interior to my bags. Love the brightness of my cayenne interior and steel exterior of the MCB. But the steel of my MCB seems more green than the steel of my aeronaut (with solar interior).

Psst: Depending on the size of your bottle, you could also use a Tom Bihn Travel Stuff Sack. ;-)

one of the inside pockets of the large cafe bag fits my water bottle perfectly.

I realize I'm resurrecting this thread from the grave, but my solution is to loop a key strap through the ring on the top of my Klean Kanteen bottle. I attach both ends of the key strap to the same O-ring. This keeps it upright in the bag and also allows me to flop it out of the bag if I need to dig around (or even carry it outside, though it swings around a bit). Works pretty well.
