When was 400d steel dyneema retired?

Was it before or after the release of the Aeronaut 30? Was an Aeronaut 30 ever made with steel dyneema?

(no point in constantly trolling ebay for one, if it never existed ).
So far: SE in black/iberian and coyote/steel, SSB in black dyneema, Steel dyneema/steel Pilot, Vintage Buzz in black, PCSB and numerous pouches, 3D cubes, straps. Still waiting for the perfect weekender bag which would be a slightly larger Night Flight or a slightly smaller Skookum duffle.

I don't remember exactly when 400d steel dyneema was retired, but I know the A30 was never made with a steel dyneema exterior.

Both Steel 400d and Nordic 400d Dyneema were retired before the new travel bags (Aeronaut 30, Night Flight Travel Duffle, Daylight Backpack, etc.) debuted, so none of those bags were made in anything but Black 400d in the heavier Dyneema weight. In fact, the last Aeronaut 45 in Steel 400d was sold to Janine about that time. (If I recall correctly, it was a returned bag, that they offered first to someone else who had earlier tried to order an Aeronaut for his wife in the Steel 400d, but then offered to Janine who was looking for this color/fabric combination for upcoming travel near the 4th of July.)

So, no, you won't find the Aeronaut 30, or any other travel bags that debuted at the beginning of July 2014, in Steel 400d Dyneema (or in Nordic).

ETA: It was still possible to buy some Steel 400d Dyneema items for a while later into that summer after the new bag debuts. The most exciting unexpected "find" a few weeks later were some Medium Cafe in Steel 400d/Wasabi (see the New Colors in Medium Cafe thread at the end of July -- my guess is that these bags were made in an earlier year, but were "discovered" in storage and put on sale, since they all had the stiff straps that were used earlier). There were also some 400d packing cube backpacks from the limited production runs of 400d Dyneema (when 200d Dyneema ran out) that were returned when the Daylight Backpack came out as an option. However, generally speaking, any previously made item in Steel or Nordic 400d Dyneema in those later times was a "one of" that was turned up in specific queries or visits to the Store.
