Ah, damn - my time sense is all screwy from jet-lag, and I didn't check the date on your posts. Never mind, we still have plenty of items to compare and coo over!

    Leisure: some combination of SE/SCB/MCB/Swift/FJN/DLBC/Imago/SSB

Oh Goosh, my packet already arrived in Brazil but UPS posted "A valid tax ID or deferment number is missing and is required for clearance. We are working to obtain this information."

I hope this donīt add further delay!!

Deeeeeeep breaths, deeeeep breaths... Inner peace...

Not working... need chocolate... canīt have it... going to the cinema to eat butterless popcorn & drink diet coke and have two hours of peaceful alienation... Nothing that will make me think of bags or travel !!

Feels a bit weird placing an order that I know will ship within a few hours - I became so resigned to all the bags I wanted being on backorder!

And so the countdown begins once again...

Yup! I thought about combining the orders again but I really need a laptop bag.

I like the backorder system, is less stressful then just waiting for a announcement, and I like the running countdown!

The big problem with this scenario is what @Ilkyway says...

"It is lonely for a TB bag to travel alone!"

So you know what happens in this case, I just had to find it some company to help paying the "taxi" home.

And a Navy DLBP was kind enough to pick the bill!

It will make the perfect gift for a friends birthday, just hope I resist the temptation!

LOL! Nop! I am beyond shame when the topic is TB bags and the CTBFEHM (Collective Tom Bihn Forum Enabling Hive Mind) is sure to provide me good excuse, ops, i mean reason, for a new bag!

Just found out about what the message means...

It means that I have to pay 100% import taxes instead of 60% because it was delivered by Courier (express) shipping!

    So much to catch up!

    Ouch, that bites!

I got a small order via USPS that took ages to arrive, and the Royal Mail "handling fee" was more than the actual customs duty (which is 20% by itself)

    that's insane!
Do you have to pay import taxes for gifts?
Couldn't you get a foreign friend to send it to you instead?

    Itīs disturbing!!

I currently buy my moleskines from Book depository because of the Free Worldwide Delivery, but the it is insanely slow!

My last one took over 3 months to arrive!!

It could be done, but I donīt have such a friend to do this!

Thatīs the reason, so many Brazilians end up doing travel shopping!

I have a martial art friend who is plastic surgeon and he travels to the US whenever he need cirurgic (steel) materials.

    It is quite frustrating...
