Sigh. I really miss the PNW. That Japanese maple way in the back is making me all wistful.
Well, first it was grad school, and after that it was the academic job market, which is designed to make you live everywhere and anywhere except for the place where you're actually from.
But when I'm rocking my GoreTex and my TB bag, everyone knows I'm keeping it real.
I teach writing! My background is in modern literature and religion, but the jobs are in writing these days. Mrs B is a Romanticist. As you might imagine, we have super-dorky conversations at our house (while wearing our GoreTex and clutching our Cafe Bags, of course).

I am always grateful for garden pictures, I love flowers but pollen is not my friend.
Badger, smart conversations are not dorky at all, in my opinion, they are the raison d'etre of homo sapiens.
