    Tom Bihn on a motorcycle

I'm just finishing up a 7,000+ mile trip on by BMW K1200LTC. Of course I used Tom Bihn stuff for carrying what I need on this 5 week trip.

Here is my Aeronaut and Brain Cell in the back compartment of the bike. The Brain Cell accommodated my 13" MacBook Air and my iPad just fine.

However, I found that after a bit of riding this placement of the bag unbalanced the bike, so I bungeed the Aeronaut to the back seat and left the Brain Case in the compartment.

Now for the rain! The Aeronaut is not waterproof, but I went through one major thunderstorm. I placed the bag with the zippers facing down and much to my surprise the interior only got a little damp. At the hotel it dried out in about an hour.

One major plus of the bag, as motorcycle bag, is that the bungee cords can pass through the grab handles and make for a very secure attachment.

You can even use the bottle holder as a convenient pouch to store the bungee cords.

If Tom could come up with a rain cover for the bag I bet he could sell it to the motorcycle crowd!

these are fab pictures...never seen TB before on a motorbike! way too cool--and I hope you will post more about your trip. That sounds incredible: 7000 miles---and you write it like as if it is an every day occurrence!!! Do write about that...

and it would be great to have a rain cover that would work with different bags...especially integrated ones!

Wow! I will forever think of you as "Iron Butt." A 7k trip on a motorcycle is quite an achievement!

Your Aeronaut isn't even packed full! That's awesome!

Thank you Tom and crew for making such wonderful bags, being a conscientious customer focused company, and giving me a sense of organization and control over a part of my life that affects me almost every day, the things I schlep with me.

Yeah, but you've got a Crimson Aeronaut like the one in the picture, and they aren't making that color any more!

@moriond, oh he liked the Aeronaut, thought it was a great and useful bag. He just fantasizes about this particular bike. He intends to own one, possibly before he owns an Aeronaut, if his Brain Bag keeps performing how he needs it to. And he thought the pics were great too. :)
