How cool is that?! Maybe you could add that to myAirline guide post in the travel tips section?

Clearly Tom Bihn is in cahoots with Allegiant Air hehe. Everytime I'm in an airport now, I'm Tom Bihn spotting. I'm no Maverick (ie I don't travel as often as he does) but last time I was at the Toronto airport I spotted a man with what appeared to be a well used Empire Builder or Zephyr. I I've never seen one of those bags live but I definitely recognized the Tom Bihn logo. I have to tell you it's a fun game even when travelling alone. It takes the stress out of waiting in hour-long lineups for security and customs.
Lime - I think I've spotted the same man. He'll probably think we are stalking him. I saw a man at Porter island airport in Toronto around CHristmas time, carrying and steel and black Empire Builder...and so wanted to point out the Co-Pilot I was carrying! I would have said something, had it not been so crowded. I look for / notice the bags around town, and even had a store owner recognize the label on my bag and asked to see it. I happily pulled out all my TB stuff that was contained inside too - to show him how well made the product line is.
I saw a person carrying a Cork Swift at my local grocery last year, it was one of the previous versions without the Ballistic rand at the bottom, it looked like they had dragged it through the mud. I contemplated for a few minutes if it would be really weird if I introduced myself and let them know the best way to clean their bag.
I decided that was weird.

Wow. I have never seen another FOT in the wild. I'm always looking, though!
I love my Aeronaut, Tri-Star, Western Flyer, Cadet 15 Brain Cell, Imago, Medium Cafe Bag (daily bag), Swift, Side Effect and accessories (snake charmer, packing cubes, stuff sacks, pouches, lights, keystraps, etc.) Eagerly awaiting trays and Canine Citizens! Picture to come soon.
Now that would be taking customer care to the next level!
Definitely not weird. I can guarantee you that if I ever see another person with a TB bag, I will say hello - but that's just me. I met one of my best friends by just talking to him in a queue for a train at Birmingham airport.
Here's the post:
European Budget Carry-on limits
Just add the pic to the bottom, plus any other info you have e.g. weight restrictions, strictly one bag or one plus a personal item etc.
Thanks,
Eric
I think that would squick me out! Just thinking about it makes me shudder. I can understand your discomfort with the thought of approaching her, but I guess it was still a testament to the durability of TB, that the bags could be abused and still be functional and also possibly that she loves it's so much that she doesn't want to take the time to wash it, or is afraid to ruin it.
I am one of those people that sometimes starts random conversations with strangers. I think I would have commented that I noticed her bag, asked how long she had it, and try to field how she had cared for it, then slipped in that the cork is washable. . .
Thank you Tom and crew for making such wonderful bags, being a conscientious customer focused company, and giving me a sense of organization and control over a part of my life that affects me almost every day, the things I schlep with me.

Love the photo!
As an aside, I carried my Indigo Co-Pilot into an Arizona Apple store ten days ago, and two employees came dashing over and exclaimed about it, just because they'd read about it being an absolutely fabulous iPad bag. Alas, mine was holding my netbook, but the Cache and all the pouches/keystraps/FOT wowed them anyway.
Before I left I had several iPod-shopping customers oohing and promising to 'buy that bag!' I think I wrote down the website for people ten times or more. What sold it for the travelers in the store was the fact that absolutely everything, from my insulin (in a Solar Pen + Pencil), to my iPod (in the FOT) was clipped on and safely attached to the bag! Of course, the colored straps and the Clear Organizer Wallets were a big hit as well.
Waiting impatiently for the next open day, I need Ultraviolet things... alas I was gone... boo!
