hi folks!
here's the video.
enjoy!
And I am still waiting for the one on the Western Flyer :)
hi shiva!
we actually made one, but it was way too long (over 15 minutes). we'll make another one soon!
That must mean you can pack a lot of stuff into it!
Nice video and I love the cork. Quick question - That's a 11" Macbook Air in a cache right? It looked like a bit of a tight fit. Will a 13" Macbook Air (the new one) in a cache fit comfortably? Speaking of the cache, is it enough protection for the laptop?
I keep going back and forth between the 11 and the 13 but that's a whole nuther story and a different forum :). Either one will be so much smaller than my 17" MBP that I will probably be practical and choose the 13 ...
eV
Love it! The lip balm's back, and the, hopefully, now obligatory 'does my bum look big in this' picture. Oh, and the Imago looks good too!
Eric
hi eV,
the 11" macbook air isn't a tight fit in the imago, and the imago will accommodate the 13" macbook / pro / air in the cache. the 13" will make for a more snug fit, certainly, but it will still be comfortable to put in and take out. the other thing to keep in mind with the 13" macbook / pro is that because they are thicker than the macbook air, that will leave less room for other things - which is fine, just keep it in mind as you think about what you want to carry.
i've used a 12" powerbook (and ibook), the 13" macbook, the 13", 15", and 17" macbook pro / powerbook over the years, and most recently, have switched to the 11" macbook air as my primary computer.
i came to the 11" macbook air after having used the 15" macbook pro. there was an adjustment period, but now i love it. and the 15" macbook pro feels huge now.
you could easily move to the 11" or 13" depending on what you're going to do with it.
thanks, eric.
yes, i know my bum along with other body parts is big. i'm working on doing something about that... :)
in hindsight, i should have asked if i could use this image that just posted back in 2006!
hi eV,
that's a choice you need to make depending on your use and concerns. i've used the brain cell and the cache. certainly the brain cell provided unparalleled protection for your laptop computer. your laptop is held suspended in a sling, and the cache does not provide the same level of protection. but the cache is thinner than the brain cell. so it is a matter of what you need in terms of protection and space savings. but both are wonderfully made and will serve you well for many, many years.
hehe - no, i'm the first to admit that the pounds have added up over the years! it comes down to managing time effectively and making up my mind to get to the gym - even on these cold, cold mornings!
once we move into the new house, i'm making a little gym at home - not having time to get to the gym and it being cold in the winter can no longer be on my list of excuses then. :)
i got into riding my bike back from work (about a 13-14 mile commute) in the fall when the weather was good. i'm planning on getting back into that routine when it warms up again.
If there's one thing I miss these days, it's two wheeled transport. Leg powered or 1203cc powered (Buell M2), hey ho!
Nice demo video.
The photo of it being worn is also very informative.
I use my Imago for my 13" MacBook Air all the time. In the main compartment, I fit its cable and power adapter in one pocket, a small disk drive in the other; and in the compartment itself, there's a couple of pouches with various electronic stuff, iPad, MBA in cache, and a large pouch with papers. The Air in its cache fits snugly, but comfortably (you just have to maneuver things to squeeze them in). I find that the cache is great protection for the Air and it makes a breeze to go through airport security (I just pull the cache out of the Imago).
As for 11 inch vs 13 inch MBA... I wanted something that could replace lugging my 15 in MacBook Pro and the 13 in can do that. Because of the awesome screen resolution, I can really do anything I do on the Pro (mostly writing, using Tinderbox for managing information, and coding).
