carrying shoes with the synapse backpack

hi folks,

it's a beautiful day in washington, dc, and i decided i would bike to west falls church metro, take the fairfax connector bus to reston town center, and ride from there to work.

i have a road bike with clipless pedals, which means wearing biking shoes that i don't want to walk very far in. so i needed to bring a pair of shoes with me. i thought i could bring a pair to leave in the office, making it easy for me to commute on my bike + bus.

i was carrying my stuff in the synapse backpack. so i decided to use a pair of wire ties to tie my shoes to the webbing handle at the top of the synapse. it worked out very well!
