I have the original (64GB 3G) and I love it, though I do keep thinking about another MBA (I had the first one), but can't make up my mind. I will, inevitably buy the iPad 2 - I'll try not to but I'll find myself in Cancom or John Lewis (no Apple store in Edinburgh) and it'll just jump in to my hands and, before I know it, there'll be a hole in my credit card!
My brother has an app on his iPhone that , if you hold it up to the night sky, it tells you what stars you're looking at.
I take my iPad everywhere with my in my Ristretto of course and i just had broadband installed in my Spanish house, so I won't have a frightening mobile bill this time £400/$600 for my last trip, between my iPad, iPhone and MBP). I also use it to control my SONOS music and to stream music through airport expresses. It is a great thing.
Eric
Eric, you could jump on the train and visit the Apple store in Glasgow ;-).
now also on youtube!

I just might (I'm toying with buying a Mac of some variety to replace my big Dell at home) and then I could go round the corner and see if you're Cafe Andaluz is as good as ours - of course they won't know to open a bottle of No.54 as I walk through the door!
I can't make up my mind whether to buy an iMac 27", or something else MacBook Pro or MacMini) plus a 27" display.
Eric
I have never been to Café Andaluz, I don't know if it's any good.
I am also planning to get an iMac but I am waiting a bit because I heard there are new models coming soon.
I go to the Edinburgh Cafe Andaluz once or twice a week, I'm afraid!
I'm torn about the iMac -there's always a new model out there, just around the corner. My brother recently bought the 27" cinema screen and uses it and a wireless key-board and mouse, all powered by a 13" MacBookAir. I might go down a similar route! Maybe a Pro rather than an Air, but going that route, when an upgrade comes along the Pro goes on Ebay to be replaced by the new Pro, and the screen, keyboard and mouse are re-cycled. I need to think through the numbers - a MacMini might make more sense.
Oh, and by the way, I just ordered an iPad 2 from Vodafone - that shows how strong my will-power is. I lasted less than an hour after the launch!
Congratulations Eric! I am very jealous now.
Yesterday I ended up ordering the new Nintendo 3DS, for the children of course![]()
That's a nice "hand me down" gift!
On a different note, the iMac line should be getting updated very soon. I'm personally going to be replacing my 3 year old white macbook with an 11 inch maxed out refurb air--with my apple friend's 15% discount. I want to go lighter, and I could never justify spending 2,000 on a macbook pro. (Which is not to say that I don't really really really want one, >.<)
New iPad2 arrived today! I'm sure it will be great, but its only (almost) a third of the way through copying 8770 tracks of music, and then its got the pics to do!
You should have seen my wife's face when I suggested that the old one might either go to my daughter or else go on eBay. Now my son who has constantly derided my iPad and all things Apple, suddenly wants it ... arrrrgh!!!!!!!!!!!!
How are you getting on with the iPad2?
My husband ordered it today for me. We bought it directly from the Apple store and will not get here until the 11th May
I am trying to decide if I want the smart cover or not , the Breve would be nice as well...I wish there was a TB store in Europe!
