The Smart Alec in Inishmore

The TOM BIHN Smart Alec Backpack in Inishmore

"I just wanted to say how much I am loving my Smart Alec and Vertical Brain Cell. I am a Theatre Stage Manager from Australia currently on tour in Europe. I had had several laptop backpacks and hated them all. Too bulky, too many pockets and not enough room to cart things if I wasn’t carrying my laptop.

I am constantly changing between venues, rehearsal rooms, hotels, etc. I wanted something that would carry my laptop safely in the back of a truck, but also allow me to carry costumes, props, hiking gear in the same bag.

After much research I bought a Smart Alec online, never having seen a Tom Bihn bag in person. I carry it absolutely everywhere with me – sometimes with my laptop nestled in its Brain Cell when I am working and sometimes full of lunch, water bottles and wet weather gear when I am trekking about.

You can see in one of the photos how much I manage to fit in – an iron fits just nicely on top of a load washing!! In fact I talk about my backpack so much that my friends have taken to asking how the “tom bihn” is going! I could not be happier!!" -- B.S.
