This year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service looks like it will be the largest ever – that’s very cool, and something all of us can be proud of. (If you’ve been hearing a lot about the Day of Service but want to know more, visit MLKDay.gov or USAservice.org.)
While we are working today, our company gives back in a wide variety of ways year-round. From donations of bags to money to volunteer hours, we believe it’s the least we can do (and we would like to be doing more – 2009 will present that opportunity) as we feel incredibly lucky to be living our dream – designing making bags in our own factory in the U.S.
We’ve made a new page that lists the schools and non-profits that we’ve donated to in recent years: Tom Bihn: Giving Back
If you volunteer for a not-for-profit organization or school that has an auction, feel free to email us to request a donation. Unfortunately, we’re not yet big enough to donate a bag to everyone who asks, so we may say no – but there’s a good chance we’ll say yes.
