    Handbags of Horror

Surely you’ve seen them: slouchy women’s handbags, made out of leather or fur and trimmed with odd printed fabric, buckles, zippers, beads, and fringe. Maybe you’ve wondered what exactly the inspiration was behind those designs. Wonder no longer — Radar Magazine has uncovered the trend behind the latest group of designer purses.

Below, Exhibit A: An image from Radar Magazine that shows what really happened to Gizmo.

Jake Ludington’s MediaBlab Tom Bihn Bag Giveaway

We’ve teamed up with Jake Luddington of MediaBlab to give one each of the The Aeronaut Maximum Carry-On Bag, The Super Ego Messenger Bag, and The Brain Bag Backpack away to readers of Jake’s “Jake Luddington’s Digital Lifestyle” newsletter and MediaBlab web site.

To enter for your chance to win, visit the Tom Bihn Bag Giveaway page and complete a short survey about what audio and video editing topics you’d most like to read about on MediaBlab.

On the Giveaway page, you’ll also find a video of Jake in our Seattle Factory Showroom giving you a walk-through of the features of each bag. A video walk-through like Jake’s at MediaBlab or the Gearlive/Bleeding Edge “A Visit to Tom Bihn” video is the next best thing to seeing a Tom Bihn bag in person.

Animal Acres Gala: Bid on a TOM BIHN travel gear package

    Animal Acres
The Animal Acres Gala is an event celebrating the 20 years rescuing and protecting of farmed animals by Farm Sanctuary and Animal Acres. For more information on the Gala or to purchase tickets, visit the Animal Acres Events Page. Enjoy yummy vegan food, bid on some great Tom Bihn bags and other auction items, meet celebs such as Charlize Theron, Jorja Fox, and Bill Maher, and support a great cause.

We’ve donated the perfect Tom Bihn travel gear package to the Gala Silent Auction: An Aeronaut, Absolute Shoulder Strap, and Imago.

Animal Acres is a farmed animal sanctuary and compassionate living center located just 45 minutes from Los Angeles.

Animal Acres works to promote compassionate living through its farmed animal rescue and refuge efforts, public education and outreach, and advocacy projects to prevent cruelty to farmed animals.

Even if you’re not a vegetarian, you might agree that improvements are needed in how farm animals are treated (even Gordon Ramsay agrees with that). For more information on the work of Animal Acres and Farm Sanctuary, visit their Web sites:
