With the Q-AM (Quick-Adjust Messenger) Shoulder Strap, you can wear your messenger bag slung low on the hip or, with a quick tug, cinch the strap up snug so the bag rides high on your back. Here’s how it works. (Shown with our Ego messenger bag.)

“I have a new name for this bag. It can no longer be the Synapse 25. She is now my Tardis.
Okay, let’s start out with her packed only with my Swift. Essentially, I packed my Swift for travel and stuck it in the main compartment:

Okay, pictures of what it holds.
5 skeins of sock yarn and 2 skeins of worsted that went in the bottom pocket (3 sock), water bottle pocket (2 sock) and side pockets (1 each worsted)
Add to that, 3 four ounce braids of fluff in the main compartment on top of the Swift.
And finally, my Swift
For those who are curious. What’s in my Swift for travel.
I tuck the iPad in its case behind one of the pockets. Fits beautifully.

Dan Bihn — Tom’s brother — made this series of videos for us that demonstrate how the Camera I-O is used. Dan was recently interviewed by Alexander Fox of 5D Film Making and Crew of One — check it out and read Dan’s take on what it’s like to work solo on complex film projects.
In this, the first video, Eric shows the Aeronaut in both 1050d ballistic nylon and 400d Dyneema®/420d nylon ripstop and explains the differences between the two materials. Also shown are Aeronaut Packing Cubes.
“inside the aeronaut are 4 changes of warm clothes for me (heading to the uk), 2 changes of workout clothes, swimming trunks, a thicker book, and two 3d clear organizer pouches with toiletries. i’ve packed in a wf sized packing cube backpack (everything but socks and underwear) and a small packing cube (for the socks and underwear).”

“The new Tom Bihn Synapse 25 is the larger 25 liter/1526 cubic inch version of the Synapse (now called Synapse 19). For those familiar with the original pack, the Synapse 25 keeps much of the original design. The multiple pockets, which don’t cannibalize space from the main compartment, are still there. So is the 1000D Cordura Nylon exterior, 400D Dyneema Riptop interior, water resistant YKK Aquaguard zippers and bulletproof (made in the U.S.A.) build quality. In essence, Tom has taken everything good about the original Synapse and incorporated it into a larger package with some tweaks to make it even more user friendly. Let’s take a closer look.”
