“Contains a 6 pack of beer and a bottle of wine. Used while on a trip to buy some spirits for a party we attended. The bag handled this heavy load really well. The side pocket was nice for holding the wine bottle. Still had some room available too. “

OBOW Petition: SAVE THE CARRY-ON!

Most of you are familiar with One Bag, One World (OBOW) – you’ve either found us through Brad’s reviews of our Aeronaut, Tri-Star, and Western Flyer carry-on bags, or you’ve found OBOW through our reposts of those reviews.

In response to the possibility of a carry-on luggage ban within the U.S. (like the one currently in place in Canada) OBOW has created a petition asking Janet Napolitan to “allow no policy that bans airline travelers from traveling with at least one reasonably-sized item of carry-on luggage and a personal item.”

Read the full petition text here. You can sign the petition here here.

“Season’s greetings! Although I’ve had a Tri-Star bag for a couple of months now, first use has been slightly delayed due to a hectic couple of months. The ‘inaugural’ trip was from London to Brussels on Eurostar at the end of November. I managed to take a shot of the bag at London St. Pancras, which is one of the most beautiful travel terminals in the world.
The bag was great to travel with, as you come to expect with any Bihn bag.”

“It’s the only bag I will use.”

Below – recent customer feedback we’ve received via email:

“About two and a half years ago I bought the Aeronaut, and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. I use it for every trip I go on, and am amazed at how much I can fit inside. It’s the only bag I will use. Because of my satisfaction with it, I decided to buy the 3D Clear Organizer Cube a few days ago, and was thrilled that it arrived so quickly! As usual I am very impressed. Keep up the great work!”
- Elizabeth

“Thank you for the Western Flyer! It saved me having to cart a larger bag around western Europe when I did a week’s side trip from the UK in September. I’m looking forward to it accompanying me on my fairly regular trips from Sydney to Noosa. No more waiting at baggage carousels!”
- Brooke

“I only will buy Tom Bihn bags. I have all of your backpacks, but the new Synapse is by far my favorite. It is so well designed, sleek, and well thought out that I can’t ever imagine using another backpack again. I love it, and I will recommend it to anyone who asks–what a great pack!”
- James

“I have been using my Ristretto for a few weeks now and it is a fantastic bag. It is the perfect size to make one think about what needs to be packed around and fits all the essentials. You products set the standard – a very high standard. Thanks for all you do.”
- Scott

Happy Holidays: Thanks to you, $1,769 to Adopt-A-Minefield

TOM BIHN and Adopt-A-Minefield

Many of you know that each year we do something special to thank our
customers and the members of the TOM BIHN Forums. This year, we’re proud
to donate $1 on behalf of each forum member (there are 1,769 forum
members) to Adopt-A-Minefield. Adopt-A-Minefield’s campaign is to solve
the global land mine crisis. All around the world, innocent civilians,
often children, are injured or killed by these left-overs
of armed conflict. If that wasn’t bad enough, both domestic and wild animals are killed by land mines as well.
Adopt-A-Minefield is working to remedy this
unacceptable state of affairs.

You, our customers and TOM BIHN Forum members, have made this possible. Thank you!

Our giving this year is not yet over: as a company, we’re proud to
collectively support Adopt-A-Minefield. Tom and Darcy are
supporting more specific charities in their own community as well – stay tuned for more on
that next week.

From all of us at TOM BIHN: Have a wonderful holiday!
