Longtime TOM BIHN Forums member timarelay recently visited our Seattle factory and headquarters. She is the first to view what may be the final version of the up-and-coming Synapse backpack. Here’s what she had to say about the bag:
“I’m 5’3″ with a small build, and I really liked how the bag fit me. It’s a very thoughtful bag with lots of pockets, and I adore its water bottle pocket! Never seen a bag with a water bottle pocket positioned where it is, and I was quite surprised to open that zipper and find a deep cylindrical pocket instead of a small opening. Looks like it will fit a wide range of sizes.
I think it’s going to be a popular bag, and I really hope it’s done soon!”

Our Seattle Factory Showroom will be open tomorrow – Tuesday, August 4th – from 12:00pm – 6:00pm. You may be able to see the Synapse and Field Journal notebook. The Seattle Showroom will next be open on Tuesday, September 1st as we are open the first Tuesday of each month. Arrive before 3:00pm, and you’ll see our Seattle factory making bags.
