In stock: Swift in Cork, all PC Flyer sizes

The Swift in Cork is now in-stock. Order today or over the weekend, and your bag will ship Monday. Note that the picture below is a little misleading – we have chosen to cut the Cork fabric so that the lines run vertically instead of horizontally (as shown in the picture below.) We plan to post new pictures of the Swift in Cork next week.

To the right of the Swift in Cork is the PC Checkpoint Flyer, which is now shipping three sizes designed to fit a wide range of PC laptops. The PC Flyer, like the Swift in Cork, is in-stock and ships within one business day.

Aeronaut Bag and Medium Cafe Bag – Review

Below is an email we recently received from customer I. –

“Before I start I just wanted to say a big thank you again for getting my
Aeronaut bag to me in time for my trip. I know I was a bit of a pain but
thanks for dealing with me.

Over all I love my Aeronaut. I used it both as check luggage and as carry on
bag on my trip. I went on the trip with my parents and they also got new
luggage in a different brand. I was able to compare how the two stood up to
the process of airport luggage handling. After the flights where my Aeronaut
went into the underbelly of the plane, when I got it back it still looked
brand new! The indigo color was still bright and vibrant as ever. It didn’t
look dirty and there was no damage to the material from the conveyor belts
and the manhandling from the luggage handlers. My parent’s luggage ended up
looking like they had been checked in; they were dirty and the material
already was starting to fray in some places. I was very impressed by the
strength of the material used for the aeronaut.
As a carry on, it was very easy to use. I carried it mainly as a backpack,
and used another backpack as my “personal item”.

When the time came to get
on the plane, I unclipped the backpack straps, stowed them away in their
pocket quickly and easily. I used the large handles to carry it to the
plane. Storing my Aeronaut in the overhead bin was easy as well. It didn’t
cost me any effort to stick it in the bin, it just slid right in. Getting it
out was also easy to do as well, just grab a handle, which ever one was
closest to me and away I went.

As for the Medium Cafe bag, at first I thought it would be to big to use as
an everyday bag on my trip, so I had planned to get another smaller bag when
I got to my destination, but in fact I ended up using my Medium Cafe bag
everyday of my trip. I was able to carry all the things I wanted to,
including camera (sometimes more than one), money, wet-ones, pen, travel
journal (sometimes), and keys. With all that in there I not feel weighted
down at all. When I was out on the streets I would flip it so the buckle was
against me and would put my hand on top for added caution. I never felt that
my Cafe bag was easy to pickpocket like that. I used the keystraps for any
keys that I needed to store. Those keystraps allowed me not to worry about
the keys falling out when I was getting something else out or have to hunt
for them at the bottom of my bag when I needed them.

Over all I must reiterate the comments I have seen on your website over and
over again, the bags you make are well made, with quality materials, and are
very well designed. Because of those reasons and the excellent customer
service, I am hooked on your products and plan on buying more travel gear
from you guys in the future.

Thank you again”

Testing the Synapse on an overnight trip

Tom used the Synapse on a recent overnight trip to Canada to see the band Bellowhead perform.

Here’s what he carried:

In the main compartment, a very light fiber-fill sleeping bag and a clean t-shirt. In the lower front compartment went the 3D Clear Organizer Cube which fit perfectly along with an extra pair of socks. In the left side front compartment went a light-weight down vest; in the right side front compartment went a very light wind/rain shell and a light fleece hat. Slipped into the center front pocket was a stainless steer 1 liter water bottle. In the small zippered pocket near the top, a passport and iPhone were stored.

The Synapse will be available for pre-order soon; in the meantime, we’ll continue to post updates on its progress. We recommend checking out Bellowhead – they are amazing live.
