“I never realized that I wanted padded handles!”
“I received my order last Friday and used the Shop Bag this weekend. Now I’m wondering what I’m going to do with all my other totes. This bag is the best – I can carry knitting projects, an umbrella, my lunch, etc. And the bag doesn’t add extra weight. The padded handles are wonderful – I never realized that I wanted padded handles!” – K.

Swift in Olive/Plum + Update on Swift in Cork
The Swift in color Olive/Plum is back in-stock and ships within one business day.
The first batch of the Swift in Cork has sold out. Our Seattle factory is beginning work on a second batch which will ship by mid-late June. If you’ve been eyeing a Swift in Cork, we would recommend placing a backorder soon to ensure that you receive one from the next batch.
First review of the Swift in Cork
“Perfect. Just perfect.
I just received my pre-ordered Swift in Cork and – wow. It’s bigger than I was expecting (which I like) and the swath of cork trimmed in black is beyond beautiful. It stands upright on its own and the handles are more than long enough to slip over my shoulder, even with a filled back. It is simply a stunning bag.
I ordered the Swift even though I don’t knit primarily because of the cork but also because I wanted a bag to throw a couple of books in, maybe my little Acer Aspire One, my Kindle, or any of my other take-alongs. My stainless water bottle sits perfectly in one end, held in place by a small carbiner-esque clip, with plenty of room to spare for all my other goodies.”

“the build quality is beyond my wildest expectations”
Below is recent feedback we’ve received from customers via email:
“i just received my order and i am feel compelled to contact you, your service is exceptional, and the build quality is beyond my wildest expectations, i have a lot of bags that i have used for work and travel, some were more expensive and some less: none come anywhere near to the quality of build and design.
Your descriptions of your stuff do not do them justice, and I just wanted to say that buying the Ego and Brain Cell was the best decision i have made in a long long time, I hope you go from strength to strength – you deserve it.” – S.
“I’ve had a SuperEgo w/ Braincell, Snake Charmer & the horizontal Freudian Slip over over a year. It is an excellent combo for on the go students who want something well built, as well as something different than everyone else. I carry it to classes and work, toss it in my trunk, hang it up, stuff it in a day locker. It still looks new after living up the the rigors of student life. Simply put Tom & Co. make excellent products that will keep me coming back. ” - E.
“Received bag [Aeronaut] today and it is more than I could have hoped for. Construction and design is top notch. Thank you!” – C.
“Just wanted to say thank you for sending me replacement zipper pulls!
I only lost one, but I appreciate the extras. I’ve purchased a laptop
bag, multiple brain cells, and a western flyer from you. This was the
first and only problem I’ve ever experienced, and your response was
superb. I’ll have no problems buying from you again, and in fact I am
eyeing the new Tri-Star bag.” - N.
Video: Removing hardware from the Absolute Shoulder Strap
TOM BIHN Forums user maverick has been creating great videos demonstrating how our bags work. This video demonstrates how to remove the hardware from an Absolute Shoulder Strap so that you can use the strap with bags that have toothed slide attachments like the Medium Cafe Bag. We’ll be posting more videos each week – or, to see all of maverick’s videos now, visit the TOM BIHN YouTube channel.
TeleRead: Reporting on the move – what I carry and why

“Bags: I do need a bag to carry the computer. As I like to keep things minimalist I use a Tom Bihn Brain Cell. It weighs absolutely nothing and the stretchy mesh on the front is enough room to carry a mouse, and AC adapter and a few other things, including a Kindle. As for cables, flash drives, batteries, etc. I use a Tom Bihn Organizer Pouch which I clip to the shoulder strap of the bag.” Read the full post at TeleRead.
