TOM BIHN Large Cafe Bag at the Wright Brothers Museum

“I’ve fallen in love with the cafe bag. My first Tom Bihn purchase was the Archetype laptop case…which looks way cool with it’s cork fabric. All of my friends admire it and strangers in coffee shops always ask to touch it! I wanted a another everyday bag for my general items so I ordered the large cafe bag. I now have a 5th limb! The bag molds to your body. I’ve never had a bag that hangs so comfortably that I could also access “my stuff” so easily. I don’t carry a designer handbag anymore I use this everyday! Here are some photos of me at the Wright Brothers Museum in North Carolina. Thank you for your brilliant designs and quality craftsmanship.” - Read Lonnie’s full review and see larger versions of the pictures above.

The ID goes to Disney World

TOM BIHN ID in Disney World. Posted by MagicTiki in the TOM BIHN Forums

“It turns out that the ID was the perfect companion for a romp through the amusement parks witha family of four. We would head out each day provisioned with snacks, water bottles, rain panchos, a camera, hats, and assorted necessities. The ID still had plenty of room for various souveniers and trinkets one picks up along the way.

I should note a few features that came in VERY handy. First of all, the water resistant nature of the bag kept everything safe and dry, given Florida’s tendancy for suprise rain showers this time of year and some wet rides. The ID was also the perfect size to sling under your seat on the more adventurous rides (like roller coasters) without being a bother, and easy to maneuver with in and out of crowds. Finally, the combination of pockets, pouches and snap-rings were immensely useful for organizing our gear… even my wife commented on how easy it was to manage our stuff as we rumbled from ride to ride and in and out of the venues.” – Read MagicTiki’s entire post (and see larger versions of the above pictures) in the TOM BIHN Forums.

Lone Piper: “This by far is the best built bag I’ve ever owned.”

“Well the Zephyr showed up yesterday and all I can say is…WOW!!! This by far is the best built bag I’ve ever owned. I am impressed with the incredible quality of materials and workmenship. Now that I am proud owner of a Tom Bihn laptop bag, I can fully understand what all the fuss was about. Every stitch, every seam, every zipper is top of the line…and darn if it doesn’t look good! I went with the black, crimson and steel…I love the look of it. Not to mention is stands out from every other briefcase I’ve seen…yet keeps that professional look.

I bought the Absolute Shoulder Strap earlier for this briefcase and its pure poetry when you put the two together. Tom Bihn and company…I’m hooked! Thanks for such a high quality product and GREAT customer service!” - Posted by Lone Piper in the TOM BIHN Forums.

TOM BIHN recommends Still Made in USA

Still Made in USA is the best directory for Made in USA products that I’ve come across. The design of the site is clean and easy to navigate, and it is refreshingly free of ads of any kind. You’ll find categories for everything from Women’s Apparel to Yard & Garden supplies, and, in each category, helpful descriptions of the companies and the products that they offer. Through StillMadeInUSA.com, I’ve found (and purchased) unique, well-designed and high quality products from companies such as Bamboosa, Blue Canoe, and Lodge Cast Iron, among others. And, of course, you’ll find us listed on the site as well.

Almost sold-out colors…

Below is a list of bags in color combinations of which we only have a few left. We thought we’d let you know because it’s unlikely that these bags will ever be made again in these color combinations – for example, the Smart Alec will never again be available in Black/Grape because we no longer have the Grape 1050 denier ballistic nylon fabric.

TOM BIHN Forums: Newbie question: ID vs Empire Builder

“Folks,
I’ve been lurking for a few weeks now. After reading tons of reviews, I decided to order the Aeronaut for my first attempt at carryon only travel. I’m in the military and recently moved to a job which has a lot more travel (short trips, 2-4 days) and do not want to have to wait for checked bags. I’m excited to receive my Aeronaut this week but now am wondering if it is time to upgrade my laptop bag.” – Posted by Lone Piper in the TOM BIHN Forums.
