The Empire Builder: Back in stock in new colors

The The Empire Builder,
our briefcase that inspires a cult following, is back in stock after being sold out for
two months and is now available in a bold new color: Black/Crimson/Steel.
That means the outer flap of the bag is Crimson – a definite show-stopper.
We have also produced four extremely limited edition colors of the Empire Builder:
Black/Grape/Steel, Black/Kiwi/Steel, Black/Kiwi/Deep Blue and Black/Grape/Wasabi.
Only one or two of each of these colors was produced and they are not available
through the Web site, but you may inquire about them by calling us at 1-800-729-9607
or visiting our Seattle store.

Just how well does the Monolith protect your computer?

Two of our customers sent in their experiences with the Monolith.

“I’ve already reviewed the Brain Bag (Which was great) but I
really need to comment on the Monolith. I like the Brain Bag, but I could
have done all right without it. I cannot say the same about the Monolith.
I have dropped the Monolith with my PB15 at least 3-4 times, and the PB is
fine. It is harder to think of a better $45 investment. I cannot recommend
the Monolith any higher, it is a resounding 5 stars.” —J. Murdock

“I wanted to thank your company for making such a fine product.
I purchased a Monolith for my new laptop. I have used it everyday when I
walked from my tent to my work site here in Afghanistan. I even tripped
one day and the case went flying over 10 feet and landed on its face and
still the computer inside was just fine. But it had its real test a couple
of days ago while the case was inside my backpack. I was part of a convoy
and was in the rear compartment covering our rear. We were sometime up the
road when it happened and I awoke to find myself in the hospital having no
recollection of the past events. Turned out the truck had a tire blowout
and rolled over sending me and the equipment flying. I received a severe
concussion and another man in the truck was not as fortunate as I when
the truck landed on him causing extensive damage. Both of us were medivaced
to the rear. I was treated and released later while the other man was
flown to Europe for better medical treatment. After were airlifted away,
the guys in the convoy picked up all my gear, turned the vehicle over and
proceeded to the site.

It wasn’t until several days later did I find out that my laptop received
no damage! My computer is my life here and can’t afford to have anything
happen to it. Thank you very much for making a quality product that has been
given a good rolling over and passed successfully!”

The Genesis Awards

We were thrilled at the opportunity to donate our
Utility Tote to this
year’s target="_blank">Nineteenth Annual Genesis Awards, hosted by the HSUS Hollywood Office.

“Every year, the Genesis Awards pays tribute to the major news and
entertainment media for producing outstanding works which raise
public understanding of animal issues. As much as film, television,
print and the arts reflect societal attitudes, they also help shape
and change those attitudes. The mass media have the power to
spotlight animal issues to vast audiences-literally at the speed of
light.”
